Keeping our Community Safe
As a career prosecutor handling Allegheny County’s most violent crimes, Bill understands the importance of increasing resources for law enforcement and first responders as well as passing common sense legislation to crack down on illegal possession and use of deadly weapons. It’s time to put partisan politics aside to pass public safety measures to ensure our schools, communities, and families are safe.
Addressing the Mental Health Crisis
As the Chief Trial Deputy in the District Attorney’s Office, Bill witnessed the lack of proper help for those facing severe mental health challenges which leads to an increased risk for law enforcement officers. As a State Representative, Bill will work to address the mental health crisis by advocating for easier access to mental health services and ensure that schools can provide mental health resources so that our children are able to seek help if necessary. Bill believes youth should be knowledgeable about resources available to them should they need mental health treatment in the future.
Protecting Reproductive Freedom
Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022, state legislatures are the last line of defense to protect reproductive rights. As a defender of reproductive freedom, Bill will always protect a patient’s right to privacy when making decisions about their healthcare with their doctors, and will fight to keep abortion legal, safe, and accessible.
As a former member of the United Steelworkers, Bill will always fight to protect the right to organize. Earning a family-sustaining wage, providing affordable healthcare for families, and ensuring a safe work environment are all rights workers deserve and he will fight to make sure American workers get their fair share. Bill supports Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) and believes that our tax dollars should be used to support Pennsylvanian workers.

Investing in Local Infrastructure
For too long partisan politicians have under-funded local infrastructure repairs, costing taxpayers millions in the long term. It’s past time to invest in Western Pennsylvania’s infrastructure, from our bridges to our public transportation systems, and ensure connected communities. Our region produced the steel that built America, it’s time to repair and rebuild right here at home.
Democracy
Partisan extremists are a threat to American democracy, and Bill believes in protecting our democratic institutions and ensuring safe, secure elections are of the utmost importance. Extremists at the State and Federal level have tirelessly tried to erode confidence in any election they don’t win, and we can count on Bill to hold the line by defending the integrity of Pennsylvania’s elections.
